Donating blood at the University of Cologne!

Dear students,

Would you like to do something good? Then we have just the thing for you:

In Germany, about 15,000 blood donations are needed every day  (BZgA, 2022). With your blood donation, you too can help patients who urgently need it for their recovery, and even save up to three lives! It's easy to help by dropping by the Blood Donation Centre (Blutspendezentrale) at the University Hospital (Kerpener Str. 62) spontaneously or with an appointment booked online.

Donations are possible: Mo-Mi: 12-19 h and Thu-Sa: 07:30-14 h.

If you are unsure whether you can donate blood, don't worry: Before each donation, a short health check is carried out and you only donate on the day if you are healthy. After donating, you can rest on site - if necessary - and have snacks until you are fit again. In addition, the team is available by phone and in person to answer your questions before, during and after your donation, and you can also find a lot of information online.

So why don't you come and take a break from studying and writing your homework?
