Current Results
In the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2024, the University of Cologne is ranked 160th overall (out of 1,904), placing it in the top 9 per cent of all listed institutions worldwide. Within Germany, the University achieved 15th place out of 49 universities assessed.
In addition, 11 subject rankings are published annually. The WiSo Faculty was able to contribute to two top 10 rankings within Germany in the current subject ranking.
In the subject area "Business and Economics", the WiSo Faculty was ranked 5th in Germany together with Freie Universität Berlin.
In the subject area "Social Sciences", the University achieved 8th place nationally together with the University of Bremen.
