Business Administration Research Ranking
The Business Administration Research Ranking of the "WirtschaftsWoche" lists the publications of business economists working at chairs, Fraunhofer and Max Planck Institutes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (including post-docs and junior professors).
The ranking of current research performance includes publications in the five-year period 2020 to 2024 inclusive. The lifetime performance ranking takes into account all articles ever published by a researcher, the ranking of young researchers all publications by researchers who were not yet 40 years old on the cut-off date.
The ranking is published every two years, in even numbered year. The cut-off date is 1. August 2024.
In the ranking "The Top Researchers in Business Administration from Germany, Austria and Switzerland 2024", WiSo-Prof. Wolfgang Ketter is ranked 13th. In addition, Prof. Dirk Sliwka (73rd) and Prof. Ulrich Thonemann, (81st) are among the top 100.
In the ranking "The most research-intensive business economists under 40 in 2024", Prof. Anne Burmeister (69th) is listed among the top 75.
In "The Great Lifetime Achievement Ranking 2024", Prof. Ulrich Thonemann is in 35th place. In addition, Prof. Dirk Sliwka, Prof. Werner Reinartz, Prof. Wolfgang Ketter, and Prof. Christoph Rosenkranz are among the top 100. Prof. Detlef Schoder, Prof. Franziska Völckner, Prof. Alexander Kempf, Prof. Marc Fischer and Prof. Bernd Irlenbusch are among the top 200.
In the WirtschaftsWoche Faculty Ranking 2024 the University of Cologne is ranked 4th place in the German speaking countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland and 2nd place in Germany.
