The WiSo Faculty combines theory and practice. The bachelor's degree programmes are interdisciplinary and are intended to promote the exchange of knowledge both among students and between disciplines. Also, thanks to the innovative teaching and the excellent research, the faculty performs well in national as well as international university rankings.

Business Administration

Economics

The study of Economics comes under the economic sciences and deals with conditions and processes.

Social Sciences

The bachelor programme in social sciences at the WiSo Faculty offers a combination of social science and economic fundamentals.

Management, Economics & Social Sciences

The bachelor programme combines business, economic and social science perspectives to analyse global challenges and develop sustainable solutions.

Information Systems

The bachelor programme in information systems is a combined course in cooperation with the Faculty for Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Health Economics

Health economics at the WiSo Faculty in Cologne is an interdisciplinary science that is situated between economic sciences and medicine.

Vocational School Teacher Training

The WiSo Faculty offers the Bachelor’s programme for teacher education in cooperation with the other teacher training faculties.

Bachelor Programmes involving the WiSo- Faculty

Alongside the bachelor programmes of the WiSo-Faculty, there are also further programmes taught in cooperation with other faculties. The WiSo-Faculty offers elective minors in the following programmes of other faculties, the degree programmes all start in the winter semester only:

Business Mathematics and Mathematics (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)
Geography (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)

General Information about the Bachelor in Geography can be found on their website.

The Department of Geography at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences offer a Bachelor in Geography taught in cooperation with the WiSo Faculty.

For this programme, students can select a minor in Business Administration, Economics or Social Sciences.

Please note that students are required to write a letter of motivation if they wish to study one of these three minor subjects. Further information about this process can be found via this link. Please do not send your motivation letters to the WiSo Student Service Point.

Klinische Pflege (Faculty of Medicine)

The Faculty of Medicine offers the Bachelor "Klinische Pflege" in which students can choose modules offered by the WiSo-Faculty within the elective section "Health systems". General Information about the programme can be found on the website of the Faculty of Medicine.
