WiSoAlumni regularly organises events and offers lifelong learning opportunities in which we involve our alumni as experts. Our ‘Lunch & Learn’ series is an event organised by alumni for alumni - the topics of each event are based on the focus areas that our alumni bring to the programme.

Mentoring

Become a mentor in the Bachelor programme in Management, Economics and Social Sciences!

With your valuable experience from your studies and career, you have the opportunity to help young talents on their path - be it the transition to working life, the decision for a Master's programme or other important life issues.

Become part of our mentoring programme for our Bachelor of Science in Management, Economics and Social Sciences and play an active role in shaping the future of our students! Support students in their 4th semester and help them identify their potential, sharpen their goals and plan their future education and career path.

Study Fairs

Join us as an ambassador at an upcoming study fair in your city!

Several times a year, the WiSo Faculty participatrs in study fairs to inform interested parties about current study opportunities. People often ask what career prospects are possible with a WiSo degree. In addition to programme profiles and statistics, first-hand experience is particularly helpful in gaining an impression of studying at the WiSo Faculty.

Alumni Stammtische

Join an existing ‘Stammtisch‘ or start a new one in your region!

WiSoAlumni and KölnAlumni organise ‘Stammtische‘ in numerous major German cities. These get-togethers are an ideal opportunity to keep in touch with old friends and make new ones. Get in touch with other alumni in your city and expand your network.

WiSoAlumni and KölnAlumni ‘Stammtische‘ can currently be found in the following cities: Munich and Frankfurt/Main. Meetings in Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, London and Vienna are being planned.

The WiSo Faculty’s degree programmes have a strong practical focus, giving our students a smooth transition into their profession and the best possible start to a successful career. In our courses, alumni lecturers with practical experience ensure that theory and practice are dovetailed throughout the programme.

In addition, true to our claim ‘Today's ideas. Tomorrow's impact’, the WiSo Faculty is committed to the so-called ‘third mission‘ which is to make knowledge available to society and usable for the economy, while at the same time absorbing impulses from the non-university world for research and teaching. Numerous research projects by our academics and project work by our students are committed to this idea.
