WiSo Graduation Ceremony
Our graduates from all degree programmes of the faculty are traditionally honoured in an academic ceremony on two dates each year. With a varied programme in the auditorium of the University of Cologne, we celebrate the successful graduation of our Bachelor's and Master's students with their parents, relatives, friends, university members and guests of honour.
Our programme:
In addition to the welcome address by the Dean and the WiSo student body, the programme includes the graduation speech, an alumni speech, the presentation of the Albertus Magnus Teaching Award and the awarding of the Junior Teaching Award.
The highlight of the academic ceremony is the awarding of the graduation certificates. The certificates will be handed out personally to our graduates on the stage of the auditorium by the dean and the professors of our faculty.
The band "Das Triologische Quartett" play the music for our graduation ceremony.
The Bachelor's and Master's graduation ceremonies last approximately one hour each.
The Bachelor's ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m.
The Master's ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.
We will make the photos taken at the graduation ceremony available to you on our flickr profile.
Our WiSo student body organises the reception, the festive dinner and the graduation party in the university restaurant. The WiSo student body plays a major role in the organisation of our faculty's graduation ceremony: it organises and communicates all the necessary steps and information, in cooperation with our event management, that are required as part of the exam celebrations. In addition, our student body takes care of the organisation, coordination and allocation of tickets.
We are very grateful for this cooperation and look forward to many more years of this joint project full of new creative and fruitful ideas as well as further developments. In this way, the graduation ceremony will remain in the memory of the graduates and guests as a highlight of their studies at the WiSo Faculty.
