Dear first-semester Bachelor and Master students, we are very pleased that you will soon be studying with us at the WiSo Faculty. Your enrolment marks the beginning of a new phase in your life.

Most of you have already received a welcome letter automatically via your S-Mail account. To make the start as easy as possible for you, we have also summarised important information about the start of your studies on our informationpage for entering students.

Please inform yourself as early as possible so as not to miss any dates.

On 30 September and 1 October 2021, the student body ("Fachschaft WiSo") is planning to hold the orientation phase ("O-Phase") for all first-semester students on campus in presence - certainly a great opportunity to get to know the premises and your future fellow students personally. If the O-Phase cannot take place on campus due to the pandemic situation, it will be broadcast via Zoom. More information about the O-Phase will be available on the Website of the Fachschaft WiSo.

For first-year students of the B.Sc. Management, Economics and Social Sciences (MES), the department is also planning an on-site orientation week. This will probably take place at the end of September or beginning of October in coordination with the O-Phase. The colleagues are currently working feverishly on the realisation of the on-site event. The exact dates will be announced as soon as possible on the programme website.

We wish you a successful preparatory phase and, last but not least, recommend our social media accounts on Twitter (@WiSoUniCologne), Facebook (@wiso.uni.koeln)and Instagram (@wisokoeln).
