For three years now, the online network platform Inomics - one of the most important platforms in the field of economics - has been evaluating the interest of its users with regard to study and career opportunities and has created a ranking of this, which results in the annual INOMICS Awards in seven categories.

In the category "Best Place to do a PhD 2019" the offers of the Cologne Graduate School in Management, Economics and Social Sciences received the most clicks and interactions from Inomics users. The WiSo-Faculty is happy about this first place and the "Gold Prize".

The Cologne Graduate School in Management, Economics and Social Sciences (CGS) provides the framework for doctoral education in the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. It is distinguished by interdisciplinary research beyond the boundaries of management, economics and social sciences. Students interested in a doctoral program at the WiSo-Faculty have until 31 March 2020 to apply for the academic year starting in October 2020.

In the field of economics, the WiSo-Faculty offers the possibility of a two-stage structured graduate program with the study program Economic Research. After a two-year exclusive Master's programme (M.Sc. Economic Research) students usually enter the second phase. As doctoral students* they develop research projects in their dissertation and complete them with the doctorate. Applications for the doctoral programme should be submitted in advance, also by 31 March 2020.
