Supplementary category
You select a module by not attending or by passing or failing the module examination. It is possible to change once from a selected module for which you did not attend or pass the examination. To do so, please send an informal letter to the Examination Office (“Prüfungsamt”). Please bear in mind that this possibility only applies once for the entire supplementary category. It is therefore advisable to give careful consideration to whether you should apply to transfer between modules. It is not possible to transfer from a module that you have already failed twice. Nor is it possible to transfer from a module that you have already passed.
In the KLIPS 2.0 system, students who register for an examination for the first time are deemed, for technical reasons, to have selected that module. Deregistering from the examination before the deadline does not cancel this selection. If you have registered and deregistered for an examination using KLIPS 2.0 and wish to register for an examination in another module, simply send us a written request to have your selection cancelled.
You cannot register for another module examination until the Examination Office has cancelled your original selection. We would therefore ask you to submit your request at least five working days before you wish to register for the new examination. If the Examination Office does not receive your request on time, it may not be possible to register for the new module examination any more. Please also make sure that you are aware of the deadline for registration for the new module examination.
Specialisation category
You select a group by failing to appear for or pass or fail a module examination of that group. It is possible to transfer once from a selected group. To do so, please send an informal letter to the Examination Office (“Prüfungsamt”). It is not possible to transfer from a group if you have already failed in one of the group’s modules more than once, nor if you have failed more than once in total in the group’s modules or if you have registered for a second examination in the group. This applies even if all or some of the registrations were withdrawn by the deadline or a retroactive withdrawal has been approved. You can transfer from a maximum of one group in total by request.
You cannot register for modules in another group until the Examination Office has cancelled your original selection. We would therefore ask you to submit your request at least five working days before you wish to register for the new examination. If the Examination Office does not receive your request on time, it may not be possible to register for the new module examination in the new group any more. Please also make sure that you are aware of the deadline for registration for the new module examination.
