CEMS MIM
The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo Faculty) at the University of Cologne offers the CEMS Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM) as part of the 2-year MSc in International Management. A multi-faceted curriculum ensures a good balance between theoretical and experiential learning. In addition to internationally aligned courses, Skill Seminars and Business Projects, the CEMS MIM programme requires students to do an internship abroad as well as a term abroad at one of the CEMS partner universities.

A broad range of courses at an advanced level, a large network of international companies strongly involved in Business Projects and Skill Seminars, and a Block Seminar that is extremely popular among the CEMS students are the key features of the CEMS MIM in Cologne.
Cologne students spending their CEMS term in Cologne benefit from this excellent portfolio of courses and seminars offered by their home university. CEMS guest students who come to the Cologne WiSo Faculty for their CEMS term abroad are welcomed with open arms and are supported by the Incomings Team of the International Relations Center (ZIB WiSo).

CEMS term abroad
Students enrolled in the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) programme go abroad in their second MIM year and are guaranteed a place at one of the 33 CEMS universities abroad. As the process is specific to CEMS MIM Students, the CEMS Programme Manager will inform students of the details once they start the programme here at the University of Cologne. CEMS Incoming exchange – Your CEMS term abroad in Cologne
The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo Faculty) at the University of Cologne is the only German university that offers the highly reputable CEMS Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM). The CEMS MIM is integrated into Cologne's MSc in International Management.
CEMS students studying at one of the CEMS partner schools may choose to spend one term of their CEMS MIM year at the University of Cologne. They apply through and are nominated by their home school.
The CEMS class consists of students from the University of Cologne's MIM programme as well as incoming CEMS students from a number of CEMS partner schools. CEMS students can also join the University of Cologne and CEMS Global networks.

Application & organising your CEMS term in Cologne
Incoming CEMS students benefit from the full range of services for incoming exchange students. Application, registration and admission follow the same principles as for students spending a term abroad with us.
As part of the Buddy Programme, one of UoC's home CEMS students will be assigned to help you settle in. The ZIB WiSo Incomings Team provides support on all organisational matters attached to your stay, including housing, electives, and more. The CEMS team will support you with any CEMS specific topics - from skill seminars, block seminar, core courses and more.

Your CEMS networks
Incoming CEMS students are welcome to join the local and international CEMS networks.
The CEMS network is a global alliance of 33 leading business schools across five continents, more than 70 corporate partners and eight social partners, that together offer the CEMS Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM). The University of Cologne's Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo Faculty) is a founding member – and the only German member – of the CEMS alliance. Around the globe, there are thousands of active and connected CEMS students and CEMS alumni.
The local CEMS network at the University of Cologne consists of the CEMS Club Cologne & Alumni as well as many CEMS corporate and social partners active at UoC.
PIM & CEMS Student and Alumni Club Cologne
The PIM&CEMS Student and Alumni Club Cologne e.V. is an independent association of students and graduates (alumni) of the international study programmes at the WiSo Faculty at the University of Cologne.
The PIM&CEMS Club has made it its mission to create a network that brings together its members and to maintain that network through various activities. We also seek to help incoming students integrate in Cologne by providing extensive support.
With over 1,700 members, the PIM&CEMS Club is one of the largest international networks of its kind in Germany. The PIM&CEMS Club aims to achieve the following goals:
- Support intercultural understanding between students and alumni of diverse nationalities
- Develop and maintain an international network of students and alumni
- Support contact and knowledge-sharing between students and alumni
- Facilitate advanced education and training for members in cooperation with our official sponsors and other corporate partners
