Study spaces are popular...and limited!
Our study spaces at the WiSo Faculty are very popular. The situation is particularly critical before and during the examination periods, when many students cannot find a place to study.
Therefore, we ask all students to follow our rules for good and fair togetherness: Please do not reserve study spaces for yourself or other people permanently by leaving objects there. Seats that are blocked by objects for a long time without anyone being present may be occupied by others. Objects that have been left behind may be pushed aside. No liability is accepted.
Do you need a short study break? Or do you need to make a quick phone call, eat or get a coffee? Of course, that's allowed.
TIPS:
- The group study rooms, the WiSo Lounge and the large study room in the WiSo Learning Centre (WiSo building) are open on Saturdays from 7:30-17:30.
- There are often free places available in the Lab Centre (WiSo cube)!

By the way: We, the WiSo Library and Campus Service team, have been working intensively for a long time on a solution to the lack of study spaces and the lack of a booking system for study spaces at the WiSo Faculty:
The construction work is in full swing and will be completed in the next few years. After that, there will be almost 600 study places at the WiSo Faculty.
The introduction of a booking system is imminent. As soon as we receive permission from the admission boards of the University of Cologne, students will be able to book study spaces in the WiSo Library (SSC, building 102), the Learning Centre (WiSo building 101) and the Lab Centre (building 110). During exam preparation periods, the booking of study spaces will be restricted to WiSo students.
