Business English Summer Semester 2025 – Register now!
Would you like to give your English communication skills a little polish? This is the right course for you if you want to develop your communication skills with an emphasis on language for the workplace! Registration for the summer semester 2025 “Business English” language courses has already opened.
Courses are open to all WiSo Faculty students. Bachelor students of most study programmes and incoming guest students have the opportunity to gain 6 ECTS within the module Studium Integrale on successful completion of the course. Master students can take the course as part of their Extracurricular Modules. Use the final certificate for your application for an exchange semester.

Women in Entrepreneurship Online Programme
DWIH San Francisco is launching an innovation programme for German students or researchers who are women and looking to learn about startups and commercialize their research.
The programme consists of two components: An eight-week online academy taking place in May/June 2025 and an in-person programme in San Francisco for ten finalists at the beginning of September 2025.

This six-week programme (4th August – 12th September 2025) is set in the heart of New York City and allows you to seamlessly integrate a study abroad experience into your degree programme at the WiSo-Faculty.
The curriculum consists of four specialized courses and addresses current American topics in the area of management, business strategy, and economics. Co-curricular site visits to corporate partners, start-ups, and institutions provide unique networking opportunities with locals and expats.

Application Utrecht Short Programme: Last Reminder!
The ZIB (International Relations Center) invites all Master students of Sociology to apply for the Utrecht Short Programme in Sociology. Applications are accepted until 31st January 2025 (including) through the WiSo exchange database (WEX).

Cologne International Forum's SALON series: Mulu Hundera
Dear WiSo-Newsletter readers and interested parties,
The Cologne International Forum's SALON series is entering its final round this winter semester and we would like to invite you to join us!
In the last event of the series, Mulu Hundera will talk about the role of family support for the success of women's businesses in Ethiopia. She will explain how this support can be both an enabler and an obstacle, and what policies are needed to strengthen women's potential as business leaders.

Tip: To increase your chances of winning, you can take part every day!
The campaign will run from 20th January 2025 until 7th February 2025. Every Friday, one person will be drawn and notified by email of the won canteen lunch.
