Based on real-world practice and research-intensive

Business Administration Programmes

Our Business Administration programmes provide a broad knowledge in economics and business management. As well as gaining a general overview of core areas, you can choose the subjects you want to focus on and discover more about.

Are you interested in business structures and processes? Do you want to analyse real-world issues on a solid theoretical basis? A Business Administration programme gives you the skill set you need to be able to find optimum solutions to an array of business-related problems. A subset of Economics, Business Administration looks at the economic factors that play a role in companies.

Requirements for applicants

Graduates from the Business Administration programmes have extensive knowledge of their field. Enthusiasm for business issues and an understanding of mathematics are essential. A willingness to work hard and an ability to be a good team player are also important. Good communication skills in German and English, combined with an ability to learn independently and in a goal and result oriented manner complete the profile of what we look for in applicants to these programmes.

If you’re not sure whether your maths skills are up to it, the following link provides various ways of checking: maths test.

Wide range of subjects

Our Business Administration programme enables students to pick the subjects they want to focus on and offers attractive options for combining subjects and specialising in what interests you. Thanks to its size, our Faculty can offer a wide range of courses – another advantage our students benefit from.

Our programme includes supplementary subjects, offering various possibilities for you to put your own stamp on your studies in line with your personal interests and career goals. As an interdisciplinary approach to studies is important to us, our students can take supplementary Business Administration modules from the fields of Economics, Social Sciences or Information Systems.

Vibrant campus life and a fantastic city – welcome to Cologne!

Apart from all the formal reasons to study Business Administration at our Faculty, we also have a big advantage in terms of location. Cologne is a major economic hub and a lively metropolis with all the delights a city has to offer. Another reason why Cologne is so popular with young people in particular.
This is an easy place to relax and have fun after a hard day’s studying. Be your thirst for culture, entertainment or even more knowledge – Cologne offers a multitude of possibilities. On top of that, our students are actively involved in a number of student initiatives, e.g. the OFW, which organises the annual “World Business Dialogue”. You too can become part of our vibrant campus culture!
