Winter semester 25: technical information on lecture halls XXIII, XXIV and XXV
Dear Professors,
the lecterns in lecture halls XXIII, XXIV and XXV have been modernized. In rare cases, a previously functional laptop/adapter combination may now cause problems during playback.
Please plan for a short check before your lecture. If necessary, the Library and Campus Service (Tel.: 0221-470 76835) can provide.
Kind regards,

Please respond by 31st October: Annual thanks to donors in the university magazine
Dear colleagues,
Every year, we thank our committed donors, as well as foundations, associations and companies, in the university magazine. You will find the pages from the university magazine 4/2023 attached for your information.
Of course, we can only consider those whose support we are aware of. So if there are private individuals, donors, associations, foundations or companies in your area that support your work or individual projects, we would of course also like to mention them in our annual thanks.
Please note that we are only talking about support in the form of (material) donations or sponsorship. Funding from third-party funds is not included!
Therefore, we kindly ask you to send us the names of people, foundations, associations or companies that supported your area in 2024 by 31st October 2024. We will then add them to our list so that your supporters are also thanked in the university magazine.
Please also forward this message to any colleagues who may be interested. Thank you.
Best regards,
Bianca Weides

Deadline 15th December 2024: Call for applications for SHK positions for first-generation students
For the summer semester of 2025, the Vice-Rectorate for Anti-Discrimination and Equal Opportunities is again the project SHK positions for first-generation students.
In this project, a tandem of professor/research assistant and a first-generation student can apply together for a one-year funding of an SHK position. (39 hours per month)
The aim of the program is to facilitate access to the scientific system for first-generation students who are in their bachelor's program or in a program leading to the first (state) examination by connecting them to a chair/research institution/young investigators group at an early stage, and to strengthen their motivation for an academic career. At the same time, the financing of the studies (up to the BAföG maximum) is supported by a study-related activity.
The application deadline is 15th December 2024.
We would be very grateful if you would forward the call for applications to the relevant target groups (professors/scientific staff) in your faculty.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
