In the current WirtschaftsWoche University Ranking 2020, the University of Cologne achieved 4th place. For the WiWo ranking, a total of more than 500 HR managers were asked which universities they prefer to recruit graduates from and what criteria they look for. With the placement of the University of Cologne, the WiSo Faculty confirms it's top position compared to the previous year's WirtschaftsWoche ranking.
We are also pleased about the ranking results of our academics in the "WirtschaftsWoche Researcher Ranking":
In the ranking of the top researchers in business administration, Prof. Dr. Werner Reinartz is on position 32 (and in the lifetime achievement also ranking among the top 100) followed by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ketter on 42nd place. Among the business economists with the most research under 40, Prof. Fügener is among the top 100. Also receiving top rankings were: Prof. Ulrich Thonemann, Prof. Dirk Sliwka, Prof. Christoph Rosenkranz, Prof. Detlef Schoder, Prof. Alexander Kempf, Prof. Bernd Irlenbusch, Prof. Marc Fischer, Prof. Franziska Völckner and Prof. Carsten Homburg.
The Dean of the WiSo Faculty, Prof. Ulrich Thonemann, is pleased about this development and states: "High ranking positions are an important quality indicator of research and teaching at the WiSo Faculty. They underline the competitiveness of the WiSo Faculty in the national as well as international university environment."
