Axel Ockenfels receives Hans Kelsen Prize 2020 from the University of Cologne

For his outstanding scientific achievements over the past six years, Axel Ockenfels is to receive the Hans Kelsen Prize 2020, the University of Cologne's Future Prize for the faculties of law and economics.

Prof. Dr. Axel Ockenfels

Axel Ockenfels is one of the seven scientists who have been awarded this year's Future Prizes of the University of Cologne. The University is convinced that individual scientific excellence is the core of scientific progress and should therefore be particularly encouraged and rewarded.

In order to achieve this goal, this year two Max Delbrück Prizes (Natural and Life Sciences), one Leo Spitzer Prize (Humanities) and one Hans Kelsen Prize (Law and Economics) will be awarded to researchers with outstanding scientific achievements in the last six years. In all three categories, a corresponding prize is also awarded to outstanding young researchers.
