WiSoAlumni Lunch & Learn: „Deep Work - Fokus finden in einer abgelenkten Welt“
[Event in German]
Constant notifications on your mobile phone, new emails in your inbox and one appointment after another: In an age of ever-faster communication and constant availability, it is becoming increasingly difficult to fully focus on a task. Especially demanding, complex tasks are left undone or can only be dealt with superficially. Deep work methods make it possible to meet these challenges, to work intensively on a task for longer periods of time without distraction and to noticeably increase not only efficiency but also the quality of the results.
In the current edition ‘Deep Work – Fokus finden in einer abgelenkten Welt’ of our digital format Lunch & Learn, we want to learn about methods and strategies that help to create space for productive work in hectic everyday life. WiSo alumnus Johannes Norrenbrock will present methods and strategies on how to apply Deep Work techniquesin your professional and academic life to develop a sustainable ability to concentrate and focus.

[Event in German]
Skills shortages, generational change, AI, four-day week, basic income, work-life balance, economic strength, corporate culture... Everyone is talking about the changing labour market. These are just some of the questions that will be discussed at the panel discussion: „Expectations, realities, visions - how employees and employers shape work together“, organised by WiSoAlumni WiSo-Fakultät, PhilAlumni and Career Service PhilFak in cooperation with KölnAlumni - Das Netzwerk der Universität zu Köln on Thursday, 16 January 2025, starting at 6 pm. We have invited four speakers from the WiSo and Philosophy faculties to take part in the discussion.
