WiSo students have the best international study experience

In the current Financial Times "Masters in Management" ranking, WiSo occupies an outstanding 46th place internationally. Compared to 2022, the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne was able to improve by eight places in 2023. WiSo shares 46th place internationally with the Hanken School of Economics (Finland). The University of Cologne achieved 6th place overall in Germany.

In the area of "International course experience rank", WiSo is in first place in Germany. Internationally, this means a place among the TOP 20 universities with a rank of 16. At no other German university do graduates complete a comparable number of internships and international exchanges. The average salary of WiSo alumni three years after graduation puts the WiSo faculty in the top 25 internationally and sixth in Germany. In the newly added category of the university's Carbon footprint, the University of Cologne is also among the top universities in Germany, sharing second place with WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and ESMT Berlin. The "Career service rank" has particularly increased, with Wiso reaching 39th place worldwide and improving by 30 places.

The WiSo faculty also achieved outstanding results in several other categories, for example, third place nationally in "Value for money" and sixth place nationally in "Overall satisfaction".

The Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking annually evaluates the best business schools worldwide. Over 100 internationally accredited universities and business schools are involved in the ranking. To collect the data, both the graduates and the universities answer comprehensive questionnaires. The Master's programmes are ranked based on around 20 criteria. Particular importance is attached to the career development of alumni.
