Usually the place for a welcome photo with new professors or congratulations on awards, today it is Professor Thonemann alone in front of the big picture in the WiSo Dean's Office*: We are pleased to announce that our Dean, Prof. Ulrich Thonemann, Ph.D. has been re-elected for another four years as Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne.

We thank Professor Thonemann for his vision, commitment and outstanding efforts to lead and develop WiSo as one of the leading academic institutions in the fields of management, economics and social sciences. We see ourselves well positioned for the future, true to the faculty motto "Today's Ideas. Tomorrow's Impact." We congratulate ourselves and him and wish Professor Thonemann all the best for his second term.

Ulrich W. Thonemann has been Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne since 2019. Previously Vice Dean for Internationalisation, he helped establish the University of Cologne Business School, among others. As the holder of the Professorship for ABWL, Supply Chain Management and Management Science, he has also distinguished himself many times as an academic and enjoys an excellent academic reputation, documented, for example, by an outstanding 30th place in the "Great Lifetime Achievement Ranking" of Wirtschaftswoche.
