CEMS MIM in the global top ten

QS Business Master’s Ranking reveals: WiSo Faculty offers the best management education in Germany.

The CEMS Master in International Management (CEMS MIM) ranks 10th globally in the latest “2025 QS Business Master’s Ranking: Master’s in Management” out of more than 200 management programmes that made it into the ranking. Compared to last year’s QS Master’s in Management (MiM) Ranking, the CEMS MIM has improved by one position.

With a score of 90.5 out of 100 points, the flagship programme of modern, international management education at the University of Cologne is, as part of the global CEMS network, now among the top 10 in the QS MiM Ranking worldwide. The CEMS MIM scored an impressive 97.3 out of 100 points in the group of indicators for value for money, far exceeding the global average of 61.3.

A score of 86.4 points for graduate employability (global average 50.1) represents a further increase from last year’s score of 82.6, which is good news for students. The CEMS MIM also improved its position in the Alumni Outcomes Index, which examines the backgrounds of around 50,000 executives and board members of the world’s largest companies. With a score of 83.7 points, the CEMS MIM far outperformes the international average of 49.9.

In terms of thought leadership, the CEMS MIM is also among the top programmes in the QS Master’s in Management Ranking. With a score of 86.5 points it has increased by 3.6 points compared to the last ranking, and is well above the global average. Overall, the CEMS MIM performed above average in all indicator groups, including diversity (84.6).

The Master in International Management (CEMS MIM) is offered by the global CEMS network, an alliance of 34 leading business schools on five continents, along with over 80 multinational companies and NGOs. Only one of the most prestigious schools in each country can join this alliance, and the University of Cologne represents Germany. When adjusted for programmes offered by German universities in the ranking, the CEMS MIM is clearly in first place, with a 12.2 point difference in the overall score compared to the second-ranked ‘Master of Science in Management’ from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.

The CEMS MIM was established in 1988 by the Universities of Cologne (Germany), HEC (France), Bocconi (Italy), and ESADE (Spain). This unique founding structure ensures the sustainability and future relevance of the programme.
