Supply Chain Management

in cooperation with Aalto University

As a student of the Double Master's Programme in Business Administration, you will benefit from the expertise of two top universities. You will spend one year studying at the University of Cologne and one year at Aalto University and will graduate with two master’s degrees: a Master of Science in Business Administration - Supply Chain Management from the University of Cologne and a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration - Information and Service Management from Aalto University. The double degree is integrated into these programmes. It includes courses from both universities and is based on credit transfer. You will write a master's thesis during your second year of studies at Aalto University.

Programme

You can combine your studies at the University of Cologne with the study option Information and Service Management at Aalto University.  During the double degree, you will have access to a wide range of courses which will provide you with expertise in developing data-based decision recommendations. Both universities focus on a quantitative and analytical approach to improve businesses. The courses available at the two universities complement each other very well, providing a wide range from which you can benefit greatly. Courses

You will spend your first year in Cologne studying core method modules and courses of the supply chain management specialisation. In your second year, you will study courses from the master's programme in information service management at Aalto University. When you choose your electives in Finland, you can either dive deeper into supply chain management courses or focus more on courses related to business analytics or information systems science.

The studies open up wide-ranging prospects for professional careers across different sectors from manufacturing and distribution to retailing and services. Potential employers range from start-ups and small or medium sized companies to large and global corporations. Example job opportunities include positions in logistics and production planning, in strategic purchasing, in product and process development, in IT consulting or in the management of cross-company technology projects or careers in academic research.
