The summer school aims at bringing together distinguished scholars and young researchers in the field of energy and environmental economics to discuss research advances and relevant policy issues. CFR Student Group event
Dear fellow students,
With this mail we would like to inform you about our next CFR Student Group event.
This time we will feature a presentation from the Cologne-based asset manager Flossbach von Storch, which focusses on the connection between macroeconomic events and strategic asset allocation.
Flossbach von Storch is one of the leading independent asset managers in Germany and continues to be owner-operated by its founders and senior executives. More than 300 employees look after assets of more than EUR 80 billion, whereas they are particularly recognized for their multi-asset approach.
Therefore, we are very excited to welcome Thomas Lehr who is going to illustrate the interdependences of portfolio management and research by talking us through Flossbach von Storch's current macro view on financial markets.
The presentation will take place in the lecture hall XXV (WiSo-Gebäude 101) on Wednesday, the 28th of June, at 6pm. After the presentation you will have the chance to ask your questions in casual atmosphere.
We are looking forward to meet you on site!
Lecture on the topic of value creation and value destruction on the stock market + Get-Together
We invite you to a lecture with Flossbach von Storch on the topic of value creation and value destruction on the stock market. Afterwards, we invite you to a relaxed get-together at Haus Töller for a casual exchange. The first round of Kölsch is on us! The event will start on 22.06.2023 at 18:30 in the lecture hall XXV in the WiSo building.
Lecturers are Dr. Philipp Immenkötter and Dr. Kai Lehmann, who will talk about their latest studies on the stock market.
We will talk about the fact that much of the value created in Germany in recent years has been concentrated in just a few stocks. On the other hand, a large part of German stocks do not add value for investors.
After the presentation you will also have the opportunity to learn about internships at Flossbach von Storch. The event will take place in German.
