Panel discussion: Expectations, Realities, Visions - How Employees and Employers Shape Work Together

[Event in German]

Skills shortages, generational change, AI, four-day week, basic income, work-life balance, economic strength, corporate culture... Everyone is talking about the changing labour market. These are just some of the questions that will be discussed at the panel discussion: „Expectations, realities, visions - how employees and employers shape work together“, organised by WiSoAlumni WiSo-Fakultät, PhilAlumni and Career Service PhilFak in cooperation with KölnAlumni - Das Netzwerk der Universität zu Köln on Thursday, 16 January 2025, starting at 6 pm. We have invited four speakers from the WiSo and Philosophy faculties to take part in the discussion.

Artificial Intelligence: Is EU regulation holding back innovation? – New episode of the ECONtribute Wirtschaftspodcast

Does the regulation of Artificial Intelligence hold back economic opportunities in Europe? How is the technology changing the law? And is AI regulation actually practicable?

Indra Spiecker gen. Döhmann holds the Chair of Digitalization Law at the University of Cologne and conducts research at ECONtribute on issues such as the legal aspects of digitalization. We talk about how much regulation AI needs, what the EU’s AI Act really means and why she leads a double life as a lawyer.

This episode is about AI, control and (in)consequences.
