Promotion - yes or no (online)
This digital interdisciplinary intensive workshop is aimed at all students and research assistants who would like to pursue a doctorate in the future or are in the decision-making phase.
Important: A doctorate should already be a clear option in your career. In the intensive workshop, you will then reflect on questions such as "Do I really want to do a doctorate?" and "How can I tackle this big project and keep it going?"
The one-day seminar will help you to clarify your personal attitude towards the dissertation project and to make statements about the feasibility of the doctoral project. This will give you a sound basis for deciding in favour of or against a dissertation. Participation in the seminar is generally planned from the 3rd semester of the Master's programme at the earliest.
Seminar content
- Numerous tips for starting a doctorate
- Clarification of individual motivation
- Choosing and narrowing down your topic
- Content and function of an exposé
- How do I find a good supervisor?
- Time management when doing a doctorate
Please note: Our training and further education programme is designed for interaction between participants. Similar to face-to-face seminars, we ask you to always switch on your camera during online events to ensure an exchange at eye level.

Sustainability Manager (IHK)
Would you like to familiarise yourself with the fields of action of sustainability management so that you can always think about sustainable management in your job in the future? Train to become a sustainability manager (IHK) together with entrepreneurs and acquire a recognised certificate at the same time.
In times of resource scarcity and increasingly urgent social and political demands for modern, climate-friendly concepts, corporate sustainability as an integrated management system is becoming the focus of many entrepreneurs. Many companies are currently focussing on making their business processes and practices, products and services (more) sustainable for the first time. The aim here should not only be future competitiveness, but also the long-term assumption of ecological and social responsibility towards the environment and society. In our training programme, we therefore take an in-depth look at the fields of action, requirements, standards and legal provisions of corporate sustainability.
The training is held in German.
Application deadline: 15th March 2024

Our student-oriented team is therefore always on the lookout for motivated and committed individuals who share our passion for financial markets and at the same time want to make their own contribution to strengthening the stock market culture. In addition, you will also benefit personally: volunteering is a valuable experience that can help enormously in improving soft skills (e.g. teamwork, project management, independence, personal responsibility, initiative). Volunteering is also a valuable addition to your CV for your professional career. Our various departments offer a range of opportunities to put your strengths and interests to good use. We are currently looking for reinforcement in the following areas in particular:
