Salon: Elif Shafak: A Sociological Exploration of Gender and Migration
Invitation to the final event of the SALON series on July 2, 2025!
Under the title “Elif Shafak: A Sociological Exploration of Gender and Migration”, Ahmet Yikik and Aylin Walder will provide insights into key social topics such as migration, gender, and social identity. In their lecture, they focus on the work of British-Turkish author Elif Shafak, whose narratives illuminate so-called “deviant” social groups and offer important impulses for expanding the concept of humanity. The event invites you to question established social norms and to rethink alternative social concepts through literature.

Experiment für research thesis: Psychology of first impressions (in attendance)
As part of a research project, we are conducting an experiment that investigates how people form first impressions in various social situations and how these impressions influence their decisions. The experiment will take place in the WiSo building (1st floor, psychology lab) and will last approximately 30 minutes. By participating, you can earn up to €30 and receive a free ice cream! The experiment will be conducted exclusively in German.

Survey: Loot Boxes and their evaluation
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for volunteers for my master's thesis study. The survey is about lootboxes and how they are rated by different people.
No gaming experience or experience with lootboxes is necessary to participate. The survey takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete. The survey can be completed from a computer or a mobile phone.
