Dr. Bernhard Düttmann is one of the best-known managers in Germany. As a member of the Executive Board (CFO) of Beiersdorf AG and (CEO) of LANXESS AG, he has already led companies into the DAX twice. Over the course of his career, the experienced financial expert has also proven himself (among other things) in the fields of human resources, intercultural management and organizational development.
Bernhard Düttmann has not only remained associated with the WiSo Faculty as a keynote speaker. Since 2015, he has regularly conducted practical seminars for master students (Business Projects Master Courses) in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Corporate Development. Herewith, as with his former position on the advisory board, he supports the close interaction of science and practice.
Since 17 October, Bernhard Düttmann has now taken over the executive chair at Düsseldorf-based Ceconomy AG - known primarily as the parent company of the electronics retail chains Media Markt and Saturn. In an extraordinary meeting, the supervisory board appointed Mr. Düttmann, member of the supervisory board, as Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) for a period of twelve months. At the same time, he also became the Group's Labour Relations Director and is responsible for the Group's strategy as well as human resources.
