Teaching and Acting Responsibly
Our Ethical Foundation
Our ethical commitment stems from an awareness of the impact that our activities in research, teaching, study and collaboration have on people, organisations, society and the planet. True to our mission, “Developing knowledge and people for a better world”, we address the challenges of our time on the basis of shared values: integrity, respect, teamwork, critical reflection, and a commitment to high quality, passion and an innovative spirit. These values shape our faculty profile, are lived and practised at WiSo, and are continuously developed further. At the same time, we support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We regard ethical, sustainable and responsible action as an ongoing process, both internally and externally. We therefore create structures, opportunities and strategic measures that support students, researchers and staff in their development, in taking responsibility, in driving positive change and in realising their full potential – in research, study, teaching and knowledge transfer. In this way, we combine excellent education, responsible research and collaborative practice: Today’s ideas. Tomorrow’s impact.
