The university of Cologne

The University of Cologne was founded in 1388 and is one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious universities. With around 49,000 students, it’s the third largest university in Germany. It’s also the German founding member of CEMS – the Global Alliance in Management Education. In a funding programme initiated by Germany’s national government and federal states to promote scholarship and research at German universities, the University of Cologne earned the title of “university of excellence” in 2012 in recognition of its institutional strategy.

The Business School of the University of Cologne

The Business School is attached to the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. With around 10,000 students and roughly 100 professors, the Faculty is one of the largest and most renowned faculties of management, economics and social sciences in Europe. Its students benefit from an extensive network of more than 120 partner higher education institutions around the world, national and international companies and scores of successful alumni. No other German faculty boasts more CEOs in the blue chip and DAX-30 companies among its graduates.

The University of Cologne Executive School unites the University’s management development programmes under one roof. It was established in 2015 and offers training including MBA programmes (in English or German) and compact management courses for individuals and businesses. The Business School works with national and international partners to deliver innovative programmes, geared to a target group ranging from young professionals to international executive managers.
