Dear WiSo students,
lecturing has begun for the summer term, but still the COVID19 pandemic causes uncertainties. With this newsletter we keep you up to date and have summarized the changes and new developments at the faculty level since the last newsletter on March 31st, 2020:
Information from the Examination Office regarding examinations
The Examination Office has published current information on the making up of all cancelled March examinations and on examination dates for the summer term.

A complete conversion of the teaching system to online teaching is new for all of us and had to be implemented in a short time. In addition to the central platform for digital teaching at the University of Cologne, we have compiled some practical tips for students.

The University of Cologne initially decided to use Zoom in teaching, research and administration for a limited period of time. Information on data protection is provided by the Regional Computing Centre (RRZK).
Bridging assistance for students
The Cologne University Foundation provides bridging aid for students in the face of the Corona crisis: Up to 250 financially needy students who have lost their jobs as students can receive a one-time aid of 800 €.

The Rectorate of the University of Cologne welcomes all freshmen, students, international students and visiting students and invites to the live Q&A interview Study start digital, on 20 April 2020 at 10:00 a.m. First-year students can submit their questions in advance starting today, April 20th, 2020.
