KLIPS 2.0

First Steps in KLIPS and Info Sessions

KLIPS is the campus management system of the University of Cologne. It is the most important tool for organising your studies. You can use KLIPS to register for and deregister from courses and examinations, view your personal examination results and grade sheets for specific courses, search the current course catalogue and create your own personal timetable.

To log in to KLIPS 2.0, please use your student account - i.e. the same data as for your S-Mail account.

To ensure a successful start to your first term, we offer a KLIPS information event via Zoom. In this event, we will explain the basic functions of KLIPS 2.0 and point out important WiSo-specific modalities. You will receive the Zoom link to your S-mail address. The invitations are programme-specific, as we deal with specific examples in the respective events. You are also welcome to ask any questions you may have.

Please note: According to the sample study plan, all recommended modules of the first term can be selected in the second enrolment phase. As the information events take place during this phase, we recommend that you attend them first and then choose your courses. Participation in the KLIPS information event is strongly recommended.

Info: The information sessions for the 2025/26 winter semester have already taken place and were not recorded.

Ideally, you should familiarise yourself with KLIPS 2.0 in advance. Use the online help provided by the central KLIPS team. There you will also find explanations of other functions that are not covered in the information sessions. The general information on the KLIPS 2.0 campus management system is also very helpful.

Important: Support in case of problems:

Always contact WiSo KLIPS support via the WiSo Student Service Point contact form, not the central KLIPS support.
