F.A.Z. Economists Ranking

The ranking is made up of various categories in which both the impact in the economy and in the public are taken into account. For example, the deciding factors for placement in the F.A.Z. ranking are whether an economist sets impulses that are then taken up by other researchers, whether his/her statements are heard by the general public and to what extent he/she can influence politics. The impact in social networks (especially Twitter) was also taken into account.

In the current ranking of Germany's most influential economists by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.),Prof. Dr. Axel Ockenfels (WiSo-Key Research Initiative Behavioral Management Sciences) is ranked 26th and Prof. Dr. Matthias Sutter 28th. This makes them two of Germany's most influential economists.
