WiSo researcher moved into the ‘Big Five’

Two researchers from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne have been included in the list of the ‘Top 40 Leading HR Minds 2025’. With this selection, the personnel magazine honours personalities who are helping to shape developments in the field of human resources with sound research and innovative ideas. The selection is updated every two years.

Dirk Sliwka once again among the ‘Big Five’

Prof. Dr. Dirk Sliwka, Chair of Human Resource Management at the WiSo Faculty and member of the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute: Markets and Public Policy, has once again been included in the ranking. With his repeated placement, he belongs to the special category of the ‘Big Five’, which includes individuals who have been included in the list at least five times. Sliwka researches the impact of incentive systems in companies, using field studies in close cooperation with practitioners. He is one of the most cited scholars in the fields of human resources and management.

Anne Burmeister is listed in the Science category

Prof. Dr. Anne Burmeister, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at the WiSo Faculty since 2023, is also represented in the Science category. The organisational psychologist and her team conduct research on diversity and inclusion as well as interactions and relationships in the workplace. She uses field experiments to improve the work experience of employees in an evidence-based manner.
