The WiSo Faculty of the University of Cologne is among the world’s leading providers of management education. Its programmes prepare students specifically for the challenges of the digital economy of the future – a fact once again confirmed by the latest results of the QS Business Master’s Rankings.

CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) – 4th place worldwide

The CEMS MIM ranks among the top 1.7% of assessed programmes worldwide (4th place out of 234), climbing six places compared to the previous year. The WiSo Faculty’s flagship programme secured joint 1st place globally in the category “Value for Money” (100 out of 100 points) and 9th place in “Employability” (89.5). It also scored well above the international average in all other indicators – particularly in “Thought Leadership” (89.1), “Alumni Outcomes” (87), and research impact (100).

The Master’s is offered through the global CEMS network, an alliance of 33 leading business schools across five continents as well as more than 80 multinational companies and NGOs. Only one of the most prestigious schools in each country can become a member of this alliance – in Germany, this role is fulfilled by the University of Cologne.

Master in Business Analytics – newly ranked among the global Top 100

The WiSo Faculty also makes its first appearance in the QS Business Master’s Ranking 2026 for Business Analytics: the MSc Business Analytics & Econometrics entered directly into the global Top 100 (rank group 91–100 out of 198 listed institutions worldwide).

The programme performed particularly strongly in Alumni Impact, taking 1st place nationwide. In the “Value for Money” indicator, it ranks 2nd in Germany (rank group 61–70 worldwide) – as well as in “Thought Leadership”.

As a result, the Master in Business Analytics is now positioned among the leading programmes in Germany, offering excellent career prospects in an international environment. The entire programme is taught in English. The curriculum provides two specialisation tracks: the Business Analytics Track and the Econometrics Track. A particular highlight is the capstone project, where students collaborate with companies to analyse real-world challenges and develop practical solutions.
