A bibliometric study by Edwin Keiner, just published in the Journal “Tertium Comparationis”, analyzes citation networks in educational research – focusing on intercultural, international, comparative, migration- and sustainability-related topics in Germany and the UK.
In all topic areas, the 20 most connected (cited) authors as determined by Total Link Strength (TLS) values were identified. In the area of comparative education, Matthias Pilz ranks number 11 with a TLS of 435 and 25 citations, alongside researchers such as Marius R. Busemeyer (University of Konstanz), David Soskice (University of Oxford), Kathleen Thelen (Massachusetts Institute of Technology & Harvard University) and John W. Meyer (Stanford University).
This makes Matthias Pilz one of the few German researchers to serve as a well-connected reference point in two research fields, bridging comparative education and international VET research.
