With its Master International Management (CEMS MIM), the Faculty of Management,Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne ranks 54th worldwide in the current Financial Times ranking Masters in Management 2022. Among the universities and business schools listed, the WiSo thus shares the place with the Belgian Louvain School of Management (UCLouvain) and is one place ahead of the Montpellier Business School (France). Germany-wide, the positioning corresponds to 7th place.

Since 1999, the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking has annually evaluated the world's best business schools and MBA programmes. Over 100 internationally accredited universities and business schools are involved in the ranking.

To collect the data, both graduates and universities answered comprehensive questionnaires. The Master's programmes are ranked, based on around 20 criteria. Particular importance is attached to the career development of alumni.

The WiSo faculty performs particularly well nationally in some of the ranking's criteria:

  • "Aims achieved": 2nd place (with WHU)
  • International course experience rank": 2nd place
  • Value for money": 3rd place
  • Overall satisfaction": 3rd place
