Withdrawal from a Bachelor's or Master's Thesis

If there is a valid reason, you may submit a request to withdraw from a bachelor’s or master’s thesis. A valid reason exists, in particular, if the maximum possible period for an extension of the deadline has been exceeded.

You must submit a request for withdrawal immediately, without undue delay, and no later than the expiration of the applicable grounds. A request submitted no later than three business days after the reason ceases to exist is considered to have been submitted without undue delay. In addition, a request must be submitted no later than the last day of the currently applicable processing period. If a medical certificate is not yet available at that time, you may submit it later.

You must submit all documentation necessary for a decision to the chair of the examination committee.

In addition, you must submit an informal written request to the Registrar's Office.
