EUR-Lex is a comprehensive service provided by the Publications Office of the European Union.

Among other things, the database offers:

• access to the official journal of the European Union, which is published daily. It appears in two series: L (legislation) and C (notices and announcements).
• a collection on the sources of EU law and their life cycles, including for example, treaties, EU Legislation, parliamentary questions and international agreements.
• provides information on how European and national law interact, listing national case law and implementing measures in EUR-Lex, with the relevant national legislation available via the linked N-Lex.
• documents on European legislative procedures can also be researched on the website. This allows tracking the progress of legal acts from proposal to adoption.
• EUR-Lex provides research support, including references, summaries, and a document search by EU institutions.

The European Social Survey is an ongoing social science survey that has been examining the social and political attitudes of citizens from over 30 European countries since 2002. 
The core module explores changes and continuity in a range of social variables, including:

• social and public trust
• political interest and participation
• socio-political orientations
• media use
• moral, political and social values
• social exclusion
• national, ethnic and religious affiliations
• well-being, health and safety
• demographic and socio-economic conditions.

The data portal provides free access to the results and documentation.

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union, providing statistics for EU institutions, Member State authorities, businesses, and the media. Its data support country and regional comparisons, inform EU decision-making, and help the public understand and review these decisions.

The database provides more than 300 million data points covering the 28 EU Member States, EU regions, European cities and partner countries. The thematic focus is on economic, demographic and social statistics.

In addition to data and statistics, the website also provides Eurostat publications such as books, reports and brochures.

The website and its content are available in English, German and French.

IEA Statistics provides a comprehensive selection of consistent, up-to-date and reliable energy data and statistics from the International Energy Agency, including charts and tables on 16 energy topics for more than 170 countries and regions.

The IEA collects, evaluates and disseminates statistics on supply, trade, stocks, transformation and demand in the energy sector. It provides access to energy balances and a range of other key energy-related indicators, including:

• energy prices
• public R&D
• energy efficiency measures. 

The platform can be used, for example, for modelling work and tracking both short-term developments and long-term trends in countries’ energy transitions.

PreLex, the database of interinstitutional procedures, allows you to follow the various stages of the European legislative process involving the Commission and legislative organ (council and parliament), and other bodies and institutions.

You can find information on:

• the status of the procedure
• the decisions taken by the institutions
• the names of the people involved
• the responsible departments

The database also provides bibliographical information and insighto the work of the various institutions (European Parliament, Council, Economic and Social Committee, Committee of the Regions, European Central Bank, Court of Justice, etc.).
