Final Grading Table

The Examinations Office issues a Grading Table for graduates.

For graduates whose final pass is determined after 02.06.2025, the following applies:
The Grading Table is issued for the graduates of a degree program or for the Master's degree program in Business Administration of a field of study when the assessment of the last examination required for successful completion of the degree program is determined.

Calculation

A student is compared with the group of students (comparison group) who, firstly, at the time the final transcript of records is compiled, have graduated in the same degree program or for the Master's degree program in Business Administration in the same field of study within a period of two years prior to their own graduation date in accordance with Section 27 (5) GPO. Secondly, the final graduation documents for this comparison group must have already been prepared in accordance with a preparation cycle approved by the Chair of the Examination Board.

Graduates receive a transcript of grades which, in addition to their own final grade, contains an overview of the successful degrees in the peer group from the above-mentioned period. The final grades (very good 1,0-1,5; good 1,6-2,5; satisfactory 2,6-3,5; sufficient 3,6-4,0) are shown in aggregated form in their absolute, percentage and total percentage numbers. In a further table, the above values are shown analogously for each possible grade step (1,0; 1,1; 1,2; (…); 4,0). The grade point average for a student's degree is determined once and is not changed thereafter.

Final Grading Table for graduates whose final grade was determined before 02.06.2025

For graduates whose final passing grade was determined before 02.06.2025, the following applies:

The Examinations Office issued a final Grading Table for graduates. It was issued at the earliest after the deadline for submitting the examination results for the corresponding graduation ceremony to which the graduates were assigned and then issued together with the graduation documents.

In order to enable students to classify their final grade in relative terms before the respective individual final Grading Table was issued, each graduate received an overall report on the final grades of the graduates of all Master's and Bachelor's degree programs of the WiSo Faculty together with their provisional degree certificate, which marked the top 10%, 25% and 50% of graduates respectively. This certificate also indicated the number of people on which this overview was based.

The Grading Tables were compiled for the graduates of a degree program or for the Master's degree program in Business Administration of a field of study and differentiated according to PO 2015 and PO 2021. Each graduate was assigned to the date of the bi-annual graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences depending on the receipt of the grade of the last examination required to successfully complete the degree program at the Examinations Office. This assignment was made if this last grade was received by the Examinations Office, usually up to four weeks before an examination ceremony. Students whose results were received after this date were assigned to the following examination ceremony.

Students were compared in each case with the group of students who - differentiated according to PO 2015 and PO 2021 - had graduated in the same degree program or for the Master's degree program in Business Administration in the same field of study in a period of two years before their own graduation date in accordance with § 27 para. sentence 5 PO.

The graduates received a transcript of grades which, in addition to their own final grade, contained an overview of the successful degrees in the comparison group from the above-mentioned period. The final grades (very good 1,0-1,5; good 1,6-2,5; satisfactory 2,6-3,5; sufficient 3,6-4,0) were shown in aggregated form in their absolute, percentage and percentage totals. In a further table, the above values were shown analogously for each possible grade step (1,0; 1,1 ;1,2; (…); 4,0). The grade level for a student's degree was determined once immediately before the examination ceremony to which he or she was assigned and was not changed thereafter.

Examination results for consideration for the
examination ceremony on
28.06.2025
must be received by the Examinations Office by
30.05.2025.

Students with a later receipt of the last result can only be considered for the ceremony in the coming semester. The relevant deadlines will then be published here.

The individual final Grading Table was attached to the final documents and issued with them. If you require further copies, these must be requested in writing. Please enclose a copy of a valid ID document with this request.
