About us

The WiSo library service website provides a list of the Faculty’s and institute libraries as well as tools for searching on . Library catalogues and subject and faculty databases. In addition, the library service offers events and training courses, run in cooperation with USB Köln, plus  an overview of literature management programmes.

The Faculty will be reforming its library system in the near future in a joint venture with the university and city library to establish efficient, optimised specialist libraries. One of the results so far is the founding of the Joint Library of Economics in the Student Service Center.
A coordinator has been appointed, Sebastian Lange,  to support  the collaboration. If you have any questions about our libraries, please do not hesitate to contact him:

Recognising that primary data is a key element of research, the Faculty provides a number of databases containing financial, business and statistical information. Important databases (e.g. Amadeus, Compustat, CRSP, IBES, etc.) are available through Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). In addition, you can gain access to Eurostat microdata by submitting a research proposal citing our ID number (2015/080 / DE).
The contact person for all questions concerning access and conditions of use is Margit Schön: schoen
