Federal Ministry of Education and Research

From a small working unit at the start in mid-1996, SBB has grown into a respectable scholarship organisation. SBB is also the first point of contact for anyone seeking competent information and advice on all aspects of promoting professional talent.

In cooperation with the committed colleagues of the participating chambers and responsible offices, the further education scholarship - the programme for young professionals - is open to around 6,000 new scholarship holders every year. SBB itself awards scholarships in the healthcare professions regulated by federal law, with around 600 admissions every year.

SBB has been rapidly building up and expanding the promotion scholarship - the study grant for experienced professionals - since its launch in summer 2008. Up to 1,000 scholarships are awarded each year.
