18:00 - Registration (Lecture Hall XXIV in the WiSo Building of the University of Cologne)

18:30 - Welcome and panel discussion afterwards.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences - Professor Dr Ulrich Thonemann followed by a panel discussion on the topic "Clean energy and mobility: How will we get around in the future?" (Lecture Hall XXIV in the Seminar Wing of the WiSo Faculty)

Mobility is a megatrend and at the same time an increasing challenge, because never before has mankind been on the move as much as today. Whether by car or plane, by bus and train, on foot, by bicycle, (motor)scooter or ferry - we live in turbulent times and the transformation of mobility is already in full swing. On the one hand, digitalisation is driving new mobility concepts and bringing forth the first alternative offers such as car sharing or ride-sharing for short distances, on the other hand, the car still takes up most of the space in cities. What is working better in Copenhagen than here? How can we escape increasing congestion and air pollution? And, what will be the best way to get to the shops, to work or on holiday in the future?

Sustainable transport infrastructures: How can individual mobility needs be satisfied, affordable mobility offers and seamless, comfortable transport flows for people and goods be created?
Decarbonisation: With which intelligent transport systems can we make the mobility of the future cleaner, faster and more comfortable? How can a reduction of emissions and immissions be achieved in the process?
Climate targets in the transport sector: Is multimodal transport the future?
