Overview
If you just can't get enough of finance, then one of our programmes with a finance specialisation might be the perfect choice for you! The programme at Cologne focuses on issues within financial decision making, corporate finance, investment banking and financial markets. You can combine this with finance studies at the Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finnland (Aalto) or with management studies at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, India (IIMA). Finance - Finance (Aalto)
In a nutshell
Standard period of study: 4 semesters, full-time
Programme structure: First year at the University of Cologne and second year at Aalto University
Start: Fall term (beginning of October in Cologne)
Degrees awarded: Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and Master of Science in Finance from Aalto University
Language: English
Fees: Social fee of around 285€/semester (no tuition fee)
You will spend your first year in Cologne studying core method modules and courses of the finance specialisation. In your second year, you will study courses from the Master's Programme in Finance at Aalto University. You will write your master's thesis in your second term in Finland.

Finance - Management (IIMA)
In a nutshell
Standard period of study: 5 semesters, full-time
Programme structure: Semester 1 at the University of Cologne, semesters 2-3 at IIMA, semesters 4-5 at the University of Cologne
Start: Fall term (beginning of October in Cologne)
Degrees awarded: Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad
Language: English
Fees: Social fee of around 285€/semester (no tuition fee)
You will begin your studies in Cologne in the fall term, studying core method modules and courses of your finance specialisation. You will head out to the IIMA the following June for three IIMA terms, where you will take 18 IIMA credits in elective management courses. When you return to Cologne, approximately in March, you will take further courses in your specialisation, including a seminar. You will write your master’s thesis in the spring term and can use part of the fall term if needed.
