Lecture: After Northvolt and Intel – Is Industrial Policy Just an Expensive Waste of Money? (Prof. Dr Sebastian Dullien)

The student group Plurale Ökonomik Köln is hosting a guest lecture by Prof. Dr Sebastian Dullien on the topic: "After Northvolt and Intel – Is Industrial Policy Just an Expensive Waste of Money?"

Prof. Dr Sebastian Dullien has been the Scientific Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) at the Hans Böckler Foundation since 2019. He has held the post of Professor of Economics, with a focus on international economics, at HTW Berlin since 2007. Most recently, his work has concentrated on macroeconomic developments in Germany. For instance, he has long advocated for a reform of the constitutional debt brake in order to meet the country’s urgent investment needs.

The lecture will take place on Monday, 7 July, from 17:45 to 19:15 in Lecture Hall XXIV in the WiSo Building. Following the 60-minute presentation, there will be an opportunity for discussion.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via Instagram (@plurale_oekonomik_koeln) or by email (koeln@plurale-oekonomik.de).

We look forward to seeing you there!
