Have you ever wanted to learn more about the PIM & CEMS Club or meet new people from our international community? Then come join us! At our Open House, we’ll introduce you to our club, our activities and networking opportunities, and give you a glimpse into our community of motivated students and alumni.

Whether you’re thinking about getting involved, simply want to learn more about the club, or are looking to spend a relaxed evening with like-minded people – everyone is welcome. And of course, there will be pizza!

Are you a student teacher or trainee teacher? Then we’d love your participation in a short online study conducted as part of final theses at the University of Bonn.

The study focuses on knowledge about the brain and learning processes as well as the evaluation of different statements on these topics. The survey takes approximately 7–8 minutes to complete (15 minutes maximum).

After completing the survey, you’ll receive a brief explanation of the questions and answers. In addition, one €25 gift voucher will be raffled among all participants.

The survey is open until September 16, 2026.

Dear international Master’s students,

We are once again offering a German course at A1 level as a pre-semester course in winter term 2026/27. 

The course is limited to 20 participants and is a great opportunity to build a first foundation in German, including basic Business German skills which are essential for your job entry here. It will also help you navigate everyday life and beyond language learning, the course offers a wonderful chance to meet fellow students, expand your network, and become part of a supportive international community.

Course details:

• Level: A1 (Beginner)
• Dates: 7 Sept - 8 Oct 2026
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00–8:30 PM
• Location: On campus (in person)
• Fee: Free of charge

• your matriculation number
• Your degree programme

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that attendance is mandatory if you are interested in getting the official certificate at the end.

Each semester, the International Relations Center (ZIB WiSo) and PIM & CEMS Cologne organize the Exchange Buddy Programme, pairing students and doctoral candidates with exchange students from our international partner universities. Most incoming students arrive in Cologne between September and early October.

As an Exchange WiSo BUDDY, you will have the opportunity to meet international students, join the Welcome Programme and various social events, and improve your language skills through international exchange. You will also gain exciting insights into our partner universities – perfect if you are planning your own study abroad experience.

At the same time, you can build international connections and get involved during your studies. We are happy to provide a letter of acknowledgement for your support as a WiSo BUDDY.
